Summer Date Night Outfits

It’s just about summer now, so I thought I would share some updated summer date night outfits. These are half casual and half a little more dressed up, so they are good for just about any occasion. Keep reading to see some of my new favorite summer date night outfits!

Outfit #1

This is one of my favorite casual looks because it’s so easy and simple. These bright yellow trousers are so light and easy to wear even if you decide to eat a big dinner for your date! The little bandeau top is also so easy and such a summer staple for me. To dress this up a little more, you can add on some wedges or heels if you need.

Outfit #2

This is actually my favorite of all the outfits because it’s exactly what I would gravitate toward for a date night. A simple, feminine top and some jeans is always my go to look. I also love to wear these wooden platforms. They are super comfy and very cute. They go with everything!

Outfit #3

This is another casual look, maybe for a day time date! The dress is super light and girly, but a little sexy because of the deep v neckline. The sandals keep it really easy and simple. You can be comfortable and cute!

Outfit #4

I love this dress for a dressier occasion, such as an anniversary dinner or maybe even an engagement party. The print is just beautiful and I knew I had to have it when I saw it. I added wedges to this look to keep it dressy, but you could switch them out for sandals or even sneakers if you wanted to dress it down.

My Go-To Vacation Outfits

Today, I’m sharing a few of my go-to vacation outfits because, well, I’m on vacation right now and probably wearing one of these. Keep reading to see what I would normally wear for vacation!

Outfit #1

For a big day of exploring and roaming around, you can bet that I’m probably wearing shorts and a t-shirt for it. This is a staple in my everyday life, so of course it’s a staple on vacation! I also like to use a mini backpack for vacation to carry all my items around with me. Throw on some comfy sneakers, and we’re good to go!

Outfit #2

For a nicer evening out, I would probably wear some jeans and a pretty top. I went with this one that I got on sale last summer and some white jeans with these wooden platform heels. It’s cute, it’s simple and it’s comfortable especially if you’re in a city where you walk everywhere.

Top: House of Harlow / Jeans: Topshop / Shoes: Steve Madden / Belt: Old Navy / Earrings: Baublebar

Outfit #3

This is an absolute favorite for exploring also. There’s nothing better than throwing on a maxi dress and walking around a new and beautiful city. I paired it with sandals, but you can always throw on sneakers instead. Bring a denim jacket for if it gets chilly in the evening.

Outfit #4

This cute romper is another alternative for a day of exploring into a nice dinner at night. It’s comfortable (except when using the bathroom) and it’s easy to throw on, but still nice enough that you can wear it for a nice dinner too! It’s also fun for if you plan on going somewhere that’s “instagrammable” such as the Pink Palace in Greece or the Color Factory in New York City.

Outfit #5

This one is a great mix of casual for the day, but still comfy and put together for night time. The trousers are really light and breathable so you’re not sweating your butt off, and the simple tank top keeps it really casual. The sneakers also tone down the look, but you can always add some nice sandals if you need to dress it up a bit more.

Memorial Day Weekend Outfit Ideas

I can’t believe I’m saying this but Memorial Day is coming up next week (!!!) so I wanted to share a few outfit ideas with basics that pretty much everyone has in their closet. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense to go out and buy a new outfit for one day, so in those cases, you just take what you have and try and make it into something new-ish.

Outfit #1

This first outfit is my favorite and probably exactly what I’ll be wearing on Memorial Day this year! Memorial Day is one of those holidays that people wear red, white and blue on, so that’s what I did here. I paired a tie up red and white top with regular old distressed straight leg jeans and some sandals. Super simple, but very cute and a little sexy.

Top: Forever 21 / Jeans: Topshop / Shoes: Aldo
Top: Forever 21 / Jeans: Topshop / Shoes: Aldo
Top: Forever 21 / Jeans: Topshop / Shoes: Aldo

Outfit #2

This one is another red, white and blue inspired look. The red and white striped button down is something lots of people have in their closet and so are white shorts! Paired with white sneakers, or sandals or wedges this outfit is pretty much universal, and really easy and comfortable too.

Top: American Eagle / Shorts: Topshop / Shoes: Target
Top: American Eagle / Shorts: Topshop / Shoes: Target

Outfit #3

I’m a big fan of denim on denim these days (mostly on other people LOL) and MDW is a perfect time to try it out I think. Denim shorts and a cute tube top are pretty easy to do but throw on a denim jacket in a similar shade and all of a sudden people will be asking you for your instagram handle ’cause they think you’re a fashion influencer (probably not).

Outfit #4

This one is one of my favorites also. An off the shoulder top is such a flattering look and paired with a denim skirt its’s very feminine but still comfortable. Sticking with comfort, the sandals just tie everything together!

Outfit #5

Finally, a simple tank dress is always a good idea. I paired it with these platform heels to make it a little fancier but it would look just as great with sneakers or sandals! I added the denim jacket over top for layering purposes and in case it gets chilly at night.

How to Style: Color for Spring

I’ve been telling you for weeks how I feel about all the fun bright colors for the spring. So I finally decided to share a few outfits ideas styling colorful pieces for you. I really love color blocking and mixing the colorful pieces so I tried to do that here with some of the outfits. I hope you enjoy!

Outfit # 1

I found these yellow jeans from American Eagle about a month ago and thought they were such a good piece for the spring. Keeping things really simple, I paired them with a white t-shirt but added more color with these Lavender shoes that I had shown you a few times before in my Spring Shoes post and my March Favorites. I accessorized with these earrings from Baublebar.

Outfit # 2

I saw this pretty pink romper at Urban Outfitters and just about fell over because it’s so cute. First off, I love that it’s a romper and not a dress because I hate rompers but I think it makes it really wearable because it’s very short. I also love pink and red together so I paired it with these mules I got from Urban Outfitters last year. They are not available anymore, but these are similar sandals. My rainbow earrings are from Baublebar (duh) and my headband is from Urban Outfitters and sold out but it comes in a few other colors too.

Outfit #3

One of my favorite outfits is all white with a pop of color so that’s exactly what I did here. I shared these wide leg jeans from American Eagle in my Early Spring Outfit Ideas and they are definitely a favorite of mine so far. I also paired these with a plain white t-shirt and this cropped army green jacket from Target last year. This one is no longer available but here’s a similar version. Finally, for shoes I went with these gorgeous purple suede heels from Charles David. These are also sold out, but here’s a similar pair!

I saw this orange dress at Urban Outfitters and thought it was such an easy piece to have in my closet and I really loved the loose shape of it. I really like orange and yellow together right now, so I paired this yellow headband with it from Urban Outfitters also. On my feet, I paired my trusty platform Superga sneakers.

For this last outfit, I found this gorgeous teal (turquoise?) sweater from Free People and fell in love and knew I had to style it! Mine is sold out but here’s a similar one from J. Crew. I paired it with this pretty floral printed top from Something Navy and my favorite Jamie Jeans from Topshop. For my shoes, I went with these yellow mules from Public Desire to tie it all together. Mine are from a few years ago but these are a similar pair from Topshop.

Spring Fashion Must-Haves

After looking through all the fashion week runway shows and street style, I decided to put together a few of my new must-haves. There’s lots of pretty trends coming soon and I think you deserve to know my opinion on them. So, here we go!

Hair Accessories

This is a no brainer because I talk about this all the time but I love hair accessories. Pretty pearl hair clips, barrettes, and glitzy crystals are some of my favorites but there’s SO many coming soon. They are a really simple way to dress up your outfit without investing in a new wardrobe.

Beaded Handbags

This is the straw bag trend of 2018. It will literally be everywhere. In every color. And you probably will need at least one. In my opinion, they are pretty cute, maybe not practical?? But cute. And frankly, if you have the patience to switch your bag all the time, please go for this fun trend!

Neon Accessories

I promise you, I’m not a neon kind of girl. I usually think it’s horrendously tacky. However, I am easily influenced so, guess what. I love it all of a sudden and you should probably also learn to love it because it’s not going away anytime soon. This is also fun because you can do it really big with a full neon yellow outfit or you can add a simple neon orange scrunchie to your ponytail and you’re still trendy.

Bright Colors

Moving on to a trend that’s less dramatic than the neon, this is a great break from pastels for spring. I love all the pretty bright pinks, blues, orange, yellow, etc for the upcoming season. It really gets me feeling happy and excited for the coming warm weather and it definitely makes me want a vacation. It’s also very easy to incorporate into your outfit with just a simple top or earrings.

Monochromatic Looks

I love a good monochromatic outfit and you know that. However, looking past the neutral monochromatics, I am LOVING bright monochromatic looks. A full purple outfit is an absolute dream of mine right now. Ever since I saw the monochromatic outfits from the Max Mara show during fashion week, I am officially in love with color. Catch me in lime green head to toe one of these days!!!

Feathers

This one is much less wearable but I love it just the same. Feather trimmed blazers and pants are the coolest thing in a long time. It takes a really stylish person to pull this off but if you can, you deserve an award.

Florals (duh)

This one is very obvious, but honestly it’s hard to keep floral trends fresh and for some reason I think everyone did it very well this year. The Zimmerman brand florals this year really got me feeling good about spring and don’t even get me started on LoveShackFancy’s super feminine floral dresses. They are so good and you might also catch me in a heck of a lot of florals soon!

How to Style: White Jeans

Hi Everyone! Since the weather has been just beautiful the last few days and it’s almost spring, I wanted to start doing some spring posts. My first one is going to be how I like to style white jeans. White jeans are a spring and summer (and fall and winter) staple but sometimes, I find I have trouble styling them! Should be so easy right? It’s like a plain white T-shirt for your legs, but I ALWAYS struggle. However, that doesn’t mean you have to!

Outfit # 1:

There’s nothing easier than an oversize button down and jeans so that’s exactly what this outfit is. I took a simple striped boyfriend button down shirt and paired it with my ripped Jamie Jeans from Topshop. It’s threw on this oversize sherpa coat also because it was a little chilly!

Outfit #2:

I’m very into these cool cropped wide leg jeans that are popular right now and I thought a white pair was perfect for the spring. I’m also very into these giant pearl hair clips so I’m combining them into one photo to create this look. I still love green for spring but during this transition period, I thought the darker green was much more subtle than a bright Kelly green.

Outfit #3:

I absolutely love an all white/cream outfit so I had to include one (or two) in this post. A simple white sweater and white jeans is the perfect transitional outfit. Paired with the white sherpa coat for when it’s chilly just adds another cool factor to the whole outfit.

Outfit #4:

In combination with all white outfits, I also LOVE adding pink into my outfits. I like to add it in any way that I can honestly because pink is such a pretty spring color and it’s very feminine which you all know I love, especially as a cute pink headband and these pretty embellished mules!

Outfit #5:

Finally, back to an all white outfit. I love this one because I’ve decided that wearing cardigans on their own as tops is one of my favorite things. This one is super soft and has pretty pearl button detailing. Again, I also love headbands so this was a good excuse to add some color into the outfit!

OOTD: Straight Leg Jeans

Hi Friends! I found a new style of jeans that I’m really into and I decided to style them and write a post about how much I love them 🙂

Sweater: Something Navy / Jeans: Topshop / Boots: Urban Outfitters / Scarf: Zara / Headband: Something Navy / Belt: Urban Outfitters

So, I’m really late to this trend because I usually hate trendy things, which you all know already. But I also get nervous about trying new styles of jeans because some are just not flattering when you have a smaller waist and bigger hips/thighs. Straight leg jeans have been really popular over the last few years but have especially been popular in 2018. Especially the ones with the distressing all over the legs and basically completely cut out thigh area or the cut off raw hem. I saw Ruby Holly on Instagram style a pair of straight leg jeans from Topshop and me, being easily influenced and obsessed with Topshop’s jeans, figured I should order a pair to try out. I am not exaggerating when I tell you, I was HOOKED. These jeans are the most flattering jeans I’ve ever owned. Seriously.

With that being said, I may have gone overboard and bought like 8 pairs but it’s okay because I wear jeans literally everyday of my life. And they look so good on me and I’m also extremely modest. Straight leg is a style that is really versatile and easy to style because 1. they’re still just jeans and 2. the cut is flattering on a lot of people. Sometimes people get freaked out when they wear anything other than skinny jeans but there’s a whole world of denim styles out there to explore.

Trying to keep things casual, I decided to style them with a navy blue sweater that is super cozy and comfy from Nordstrom. It’s one of my favorites from Arielle Charnas’ clothing line, actually. I’m also really into wearing these brown boots lately which is funny because I’ve had them for so long and literally never wore the until now. I’ve worn them like 5 times in the last week! The scarf was just to tie in some color from my red headband and for coziness of course. I would have put a coat on, but frankly didn’t feel like it. A pretty red or a camel coat would have been so cute!

I hope you liked this one!
