It’s just about summer now, so I thought I would share some updated summer date night outfits. These are half casual and half a little more dressed up, so they are good for just about any occasion. Keep reading to see some of my new favorite summer date night outfits!
This is one of my favorite casual looks because it’s so easy and simple. These bright yellow trousers are so light and easy to wear even if you decide to eat a big dinner for your date! The little bandeau top is also so easy and such a summer staple for me. To dress this up a little more, you can add on some wedges or heels if you need.
This is actually my favorite of all the outfits because it’s exactly what I would gravitate toward for a date night. A simple, feminine top and some jeans is always my go to look. I also love to wear these wooden platforms. They are super comfy and very cute. They go with everything!
This is another casual look, maybe for a day time date! The dress is super light and girly, but a little sexy because of the deep v neckline. The sandals keep it really easy and simple. You can be comfortable and cute!
I love this dress for a dressier occasion, such as an anniversary dinner or maybe even an engagement party. The print is just beautiful and I knew I had to have it when I saw it. I added wedges to this look to keep it dressy, but you could switch them out for sandals or even sneakers if you wanted to dress it down.
Summer is right around the corner, so I thought I would share a few of my favorite bathing suits with you. I try to only wear the same style of bathing suit, for tanning purposes, but I find that this is definitely the most flattering style on my body. Keep reading to see where I get some of my favorite bathing suits!
This first one, I got last year in preparation for my trip to Miami. Here’s the blog post I wrote about that trip! I found this one on Zaful, since I wanted some less expensive suits but I ended up loving how this fit. It’s high-waisted which was nicer than I thought and I like that you can remove the straps to make it a regular bandeau top.
This next one is an absolute staple. Everyone should have a plain black swim suit. This one I got at Target and I’ve had it for literally 4 years because the quality is really great! It’s affordable also, which is an added bonus!
Next up is another one from Zaful. This one is really cute because of the stripes and it’s high-rise on the bottoms. It’s very flattering, and great for laying out in the sun. The bottoms are a little cheeky but not too much that you’d be really uncomfortable so that’s why I really like these also!
This one I got from target last year and it’s my absolute favorite! I saw the color of this and knew I had to have it. The pretty hot pink is so flattering when you have a tan and I love the bra style straps because they give the best support. The little bows are also a cute feminine touch!
This is a new one I got this year from Target and it’s absolutely stunning. I got it with my trip to Punta Cana in mind because of the pretty fun colors. This is also high-rise and very flattering because of the cut outs on the sides.
Another staple everyone should have it a red swim suit. This one is really simple with ribbed material. It’s a really pretty neutral red that would look great on any skin tone also. It’s got the crisscrossed back also which added some extra support.
Today, I’m sharing a few of my go-to vacation outfits because, well, I’m on vacation right now and probably wearing one of these. Keep reading to see what I would normally wear for vacation!
For a big day of exploring and roaming around, you can bet that I’m probably wearing shorts and a t-shirt for it. This is a staple in my everyday life, so of course it’s a staple on vacation! I also like to use a mini backpack for vacation to carry all my items around with me. Throw on some comfy sneakers, and we’re good to go!
For a nicer evening out, I would probably wear some jeans and a pretty top. I went with this one that I got on sale last summer and some white jeans with these wooden platform heels. It’s cute, it’s simple and it’s comfortable especially if you’re in a city where you walk everywhere.
This is an absolute favorite for exploring also. There’s nothing better than throwing on a maxi dress and walking around a new and beautiful city. I paired it with sandals, but you can always throw on sneakers instead. Bring a denim jacket for if it gets chilly in the evening.
This cute romper is another alternative for a day of exploring into a nice dinner at night. It’s comfortable (except when using the bathroom) and it’s easy to throw on, but still nice enough that you can wear it for a nice dinner too! It’s also fun for if you plan on going somewhere that’s “instagrammable” such as the Pink Palace in Greece or the Color Factory in New York City.
This one is a great mix of casual for the day, but still comfy and put together for night time. The trousers are really light and breathable so you’re not sweating your butt off, and the simple tank top keeps it really casual. The sneakers also tone down the look, but you can always add some nice sandals if you need to dress it up a bit more.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but Memorial Day is coming up next week (!!!) so I wanted to share a few outfit ideas with basics that pretty much everyone has in their closet. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense to go out and buy a new outfit for one day, so in those cases, you just take what you have and try and make it into something new-ish.
This first outfit is my favorite and probably exactly what I’ll be wearing on Memorial Day this year! Memorial Day is one of those holidays that people wear red, white and blue on, so that’s what I did here. I paired a tie up red and white top with regular old distressed straight leg jeans and some sandals. Super simple, but very cute and a little sexy.
This one is another red, white and blue inspired look. The red and white striped button down is something lots of people have in their closet and so are white shorts! Paired with white sneakers, or sandals or wedges this outfit is pretty much universal, and really easy and comfortable too.
I’m a big fan of denim on denim these days (mostly on other people LOL) and MDW is a perfect time to try it out I think. Denim shorts and a cute tube top are pretty easy to do but throw on a denim jacket in a similar shade and all of a sudden people will be asking you for your instagram handle ’cause they think you’re a fashion influencer (probably not).
This one is one of my favorites also. An off the shoulder top is such a flattering look and paired with a denim skirt its’s very feminine but still comfortable. Sticking with comfort, the sandals just tie everything together!
Finally, a simple tank dress is always a good idea. I paired it with these platform heels to make it a little fancier but it would look just as great with sneakers or sandals! I added the denim jacket over top for layering purposes and in case it gets chilly at night.
I wanted to share some spring work outfits for you guys because it’s been a while honestly! Now that I can wear jeans to work everyday, I’ve definitely had a smaller focus on work wear. But just because I don’t have to dress business casual, doesn’t mean everyone else doesn’t either! So here are 5 spring work outfits for all your ladies that need to wear real clothes to work every day!
I found these Something Navy Pants on Nordstrom recently and thought they were such a great piece to have in my closet. They can be dressed up for work or dressed down for a casual day out. I loved them so much I bough them in both colors! I paired it with an old sweater I got from Old Navy, but the color is so versatile that you can wear it with pretty much any neutral color! I paired it with white flats from Steve Madden to keep it really stylish and put together.
Outfit # 2
I found this dress at Zara in the fall and I think it’s a great piece to bring back for the spring! The colors and material are perfect for this time of year and the fringe is very on trend. Mine is sold out but I found this one at Zara with a similar silhouette. I paired it with these navy Steve Madden heels to bring out the navy in the dress.
Outfit # 3
I think this is my favorite outfit ever! I’ve told you time and time again how much I love pink right now and here’s the proof! Not only is this completely wearable for work, but it’s wearable outside of work also. I wore this one for Easter brunch actually! I found these pink pants at Topshop on sale (!!!) and this cardigan from Madewell! My pants are sold out but they come in a few other colors. If you still want pink, these are similar!
Outfit # 4
I’m not huge into skirts, but for the office they can be a great clothing choice. It’s a nice alternative to pants with a similar kind of freedom as a dress! I got this gray skirt at target a few years ago but here’s something similar from Zara. My sweater is Something Navy and super light weight which I love. It’s sold out now but here’s a similar option from Topshop.
Outfit # 5
Finally for casual Friday’s, let’s add in some jeans! These are my favorite jeans from American Eagle that I always wear. I’ve had them for about 5 years now! I paired them with this pretty floral button down from Something Navy. I love the pink and the purple on this, so I decided to pair them with my purple heels from Charles David. My shoes are sold out but here’s a similar pair!
I just thought I’d share one of my favorite spring outfits that I’ve worn recently. I really love to show you some OOTDs that don’t need much context or styling. This is going to be one of those!
This satin/silky trench is one o my favorite pieces for the spring. It’s the perfect lightweight jacket when it’s pretty warm but you still need some layers. It’s super easy to style with jeans and a t-shirt but would also look so pretty over a dress and belted. I also thought a bright orange lip was such a fun spring look so I decided to add it on with this look!
Now that it’s officially spring, I’m working on showing you some more colorful spring content. I have been dreaming about some warm sunny weather since literally December so this new season is a dream come true. This spring, for me at least, is all about color. All the colors and light neutrals. I wanted to start off by showing you all how I like to style my outfits for early spring when it’s still a little chilly out but the sun is still shining!
To start things off, I’m sharing this cute and feminine pink outfit. I love this pink sweater because it’s light weight and I love the color! It’s such a pretty salmon pink. I kept it very simple with a pair of jeans and this pretty trench that you all know I’m obsessed with. This embellished mules added a little more spring flare!
Outfit # 2:
Sticking with my bright color theme for the spring, I also am really into colorblocking so I wanted to pair this gorgeous royal purple sweater with my favorite pink trench. Pink and purple is one of my favorite color combinations for the spring. Paired with white jeans, it’s a prefect transitional outfit for days when it’s bright and sunny but you still need some layers for warmth.
Outfit # 3:
Another combination I love for colorblocking is purple and green! It’s so pretty and if you do it right, you won’t even look like the hulk! With such bright colors like this, I think keeping them separate really helps so I wore the same purple sweater but paired it with green heels instead. With pastels, these colors are really pretty layered as a top and coat or with wide leg trousers.
Finally, I can’t tell you enough how much I love this bright green! It’s such a fun color for the spring because it basically matches the grass and I love that. It also pairs well with lots of other colors, but is also a great piece to wear on it’s own. This is another favorite of mine that I am going to wear for as long as possible.
I hope you enjoyed this How to Style and let me know in the comments what some of your favorite early spring outfits are!
