How I Style My Everlane Oversize Blazer 3 Ways

How I Style My Everlane Oversize Blazer 3 Ways

I recently decided that I am going to be the kind of person that wears blazers all the time. Ever since doing the research for my French girl outfits, I’ve just fallen in love with the look of an oversize blazer. I think it’s such an easy way to look a little bit more put together and structured. Because of that, I ordered an oversize blazer from Everlane because I’ve also been obsessed with Everlane lately. I specifically loved the pattern of this blazer, because instead of being your typical gray plaid, it’s gray herringbone. I think it looks a little bit more unique than the plaid blazer that everyone has and the fit of it is perfectly oversize, without needing to size up. I’m also impressed with the quality! It’s a wool blazer, but it’s surprisingly lightweight and not itchy like I expected it to be, which means I can even wear it in the spring as well as through the fall and winter. Basically, because of this blazer, I’m becoming a blazer person and I’m so excited about it. Keep on reading to see how I styled it!

Outfit #1

For this first outfit, I took my newest and favorite pair of mid wash Jamie jeans from Topshop and decided to pair them with this navy t-shirt from Something Navy (similar). I like that the base of this outfit is monochromatic and not your typical pairing that you would see with a gray blazer. I added my white Adidas sneakers to keep the look casual and I love how it turned out! This is the outfit I would probably wear the most often out of all three!

For the second look, I decided to keep my base outfit all black and I love the way it turned out. I wore a plain loose tank from Target and wore these super cute pants from Abercrombie. These pants have a really cute little bow at the ankle which was a pretty added detail. I love the way these fit also! For my shoes, I got these leather knot sandals from Abercrombie also and thought they were perfect for this more casual outfit.

For the last outfit, I did an all white base and this is definitely my favorite outfit that I’ve put together in a long time! I love the way the blazer looks against the white base, it’s so chic and Parisian. I paired the same tank from the previous outfit in white with a pair of distressed straight leg jeans from Abercrombie. For my shoes, I wore these white leather mules from Urban Outfitters from a few years ago, but here’s a similar pair from Everlane.

Seven Outfits I Wish I Could Wear This Week!

Seven Outfits I Wish I Could Wear This Week!

I was scrolling through Instagram a few weeks ago and I saw that someone (Melissa Frusco to be exact, @melissa.frusco) made an IGTV of seven outfits to wear this week and showed 7 outfits that she wore while traveling for work. I thought that was such a cute idea to do outfits for a whole week, so I’m doing the exact same thing here. We’re technically still under stay at home orders here in New York, so these are technically outfits I wish I could wear this week. Now that it’s May, spring is in full swing, so here are some pretty spring outfits to wear when we get out of quarantine! I will link as many items as possible!

Outfit #1

I love this green dress from Abercrombie for the spring and I think it will be so cute to go from work to happy hour. Because it’s still a bit chilly out, I layered this tan jacket from Free People (similar) over and paired that with these really pretty tan sandals from Steve Madden. It’s a very cute and girly look!

Outfit #2

I found this satin button down blouse at Zara a few weeks ago and it was exactly what I was looking to add to my spring wardrobe. I thought it would look really nice paired with some black mom jeans from Topshop and these black strappy Steve Madden sandals. I’m really into texture and fabrics for this season, and satin is a very sexy, light fabric to add into your wardrobe!

Outfit #3

I wanted this outfit to be very casual, so I thought a denim on denim look would do the trick. I paired these light wash mom jeans from Topshop with this oversize denim jacket from Target. I added this pretty light pink/purple tank from Target underneath and added these dainty white flip flops from Old Navy.

Outfit #4

You know I love a monochromatic look, so I included a yellow one for this week! This midi dress is from Abercrombie and so is my yellow cardigan. I just love how flattering this dress is an the cardigan is a perfect shade of yellow. I finished off my look with these tan sandals from Steve Madden.

Outfit #5

This outfit is my favorite because it is exactly how I plan to dress this entire spring and summer. I found this simple tank from Target and paired it with my mom jeans from Topshop. For my shoes I’m wearing the same tan mules from Steve Madden!

Outfit #6

This one is very similar to number 5, but I wanted to share this puff sleeve tee! I got this one at Target in the fall and didn’t really get a chance to wear it because it got cold so quickly after. I’m so excited to get to wear this this season because it’s the exact kind of style I’m going for these days. I paired this with the same mom jeans from Outfit #5 and just wore the tan flat sandals from Steve Madden.

Outfit #7

For this last outfit, I wanted to keep things really simple and do all black. I wore the same mom jeans from Outfit #2 and the same tank from Outfit #5 but in black. I put on an old cardigan from Target and some simple black flip flops from Old Navy to complete the look!
