My Easy Valentine's Day Makeup Look

For those of you gals who have big V-day plans, I wanted to share a pretty makeup look that you can wear day or night to go on a date or out with your girl friends! You know I love a simple make up look, so of course I made this one really easy and simply for you. I also wanted to make it wearable but still feel like it’s a special occasion by adding a fun lip, although you can adjust the look to whatever makes you feel comfortable! Keep on reading to see how I put this look together!

Ever since I posted my Winter Makeup Look, I have been loving using my Smashbox Photo Finish Radiance Primer for a glowy look. I love how it made my skin look! Next I use my Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation in 322 Warm Beige for foundation and My Too Faced Born This Way Concealer under my eyes in the shade Natural Beige. I use my hands to apply my foundation and concealer because I like the way it looks better, plus the clean up is easier. To set everything I use my Laura Mercier Translucent powder, my absolute favorite setting powder and the only one I’ll use!

For my bronzer, I always use the Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil bronzer to give my skin a little bit of a glow. For blush, I really love using the color Blushed Copper from Becca lately. It’s such a pretty bronze-y color and it’s got shimmer in it so I can even ski[ highlighter and still get a pretty glow.

For my eyebrows, I always use my Anastasia Brow Definer in Ebony and set them with a clear mascara. I like this to fill my brows in better than a thin pencil because I already have full brows, so they don’t need to be filled in very precisely.

For my eyelids, I went back and used my Morphe G35 palette that I love so much. As my base, I started off with the color Sandy because it’s just the perfect all over color. For my lid, I used the color Paradise which is a pretty shimmery, pinky, tan color. Then in my crease, I used a little bit of the color SPF and the color Deserted to finish off my look. I also did a thin-ish line along my top lashline using my Maybelline Line Stiletto eyeliner. Of course, for my lashes, I used my favorites: Diorshow Lash Primer, Diorshow Volume Mascara and my L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black.

To really finish everything up, I used my MAC Spice lip liner and an old Maybelline Matte lipstick in the color Toasted Truffle . I also sprayed my entire face with my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting spray. Since they changed the packaging, I feel like this product works so much better than it did before!

My Everyday Winter Makeup Look

Now I’m not saying that I wear make up every day because the truth is, I almost never wear makeup Monday through Friday. However, I wanted to share the makeup look that I wear on the weekends during the day if I want to look put together. It could very easily be an everyday makeup look because it’s not too heavy or over the top, it’s really light and casual. If you want to see the makeup look I wear on a regular day, then keep reading!

To start, I rediscovered my Smashbox Photo Finish Radiance Primer for a glowy look. I love how it made my skin look! Next I use my Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation in 322 Warm Beige for foundation and My Too Faced Born This Way Concealer under my eyes in the shade Natural Beige. I like to use my hands to apply my foundation and concealer recently, so that I use less product and I feel like it gives me a really smooth finish. To set everything I use my Laura Mercier Translucent powder, my absolute favorite setting powder and the only one I’ll use!

For my bronzer, I always use the Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil bronzer, not so much to contour, but to just warm up my face, especially in the winter. For blush, I really love using the color Songbird from Becca lately. It’s such a pretty flush of color on the cheeks. I don’t really use highlighter anymore, especially not for a day time look so we’re skipping that this time!

For my eyebrows, I always use my Anastasia Brow Definer in Ebony and set them with a clear mascara. I like this to fill my brows in better than a thin pencil because I already have full brows, so they don’t need to be filled in very precisely.

On my eyelids, I used my Morphe 35G palette again! I am really loving this palette. You can do so much with it and I think as far as eyeshadow palettes go, it’s one of my best purchases. I used the color Sandy all over as my base, the color Deserted on my lid and then Toasted on the outer third. I used the same brush that had the color Sandy on it to go back in and blend everything in together to make it really smooth. On my inner corner to brighten it up, I used a pretty shimmery color called Glaze. Finally, I finished off my eyes with my Diorshow Lash Primer and Volume Mascara then my L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara. I sprayed my face with the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, which is my tried and true favorite. On my lips, I used my all time favorite lipstick by Urban Decay in the color 1993. The prettiest, retro brown color on the market in my opinion.

Three Holiday Makeup Looks 2019

I recently purchased a new Morphe palette to try out and decided to use it for my holiday make up looks. I got the Morphe 35G Bronze Goals Palette from Ulta Beauty for just $25! The colors initially are really beautiful and have a good mix of shimmers and matte colors. I think this palette is perfect for holiday looks, for summer looks, really for any time of year! Keep on reading to see how I used it to create 3 holiday make up looks!

To start, my base is the same for all three looks. I used a combination of my Becca Matte Primer and the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer. For foundation, I used the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation (which I am obsessed with and will never use a high end foundation ever again) in the shade 322 Warm Beige. For concealer, I used the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Natural Beige and contoured with the Anastasia Cream Contour Palette in Medium. I set everything with my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder which is my godsend and my favorite powder of all time. For bronzer, I used my favorite Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and for blush I went in with the Becca Blush in Wild Honey. My brows of course are using the Anastasia Brow Definer in Ebony and they are set with a clear mascara from Maybelline. Every look will be finished with my Diorshow Lash Primer and Volume Mascara and my L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara.

Look 1:

For the first look, I wanted to do something a bit more dark and sultry. This one is great if you have a more formal evening party. For my base, I used the color Sandy in my Morphe palette. It’s a warmish light brown and I washed it all over my eye lid and into my crease. For my crease, I used a slightly darker brown called Nekked. I also used a pretty shimmery dark brown on my lid and along my lower lashline called Tan-Talize. For my lip color, I used my Smashbox Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out.

Look 2:

For my second look, I decided to do a look that is right in the middle, not too light and not too dark. For this one I also used the color Sandy as my base, but in my crease I used a warm reddish brown called Record Temps. I wanted a lot of shimmer, so I used a bright glittery gold color called Rays on my lids. For my lips, I used my new Colourpop Lippie Stix in Ziggie, which is the pretty dark orange color.

Look 3:

For the last look, I wanted it to be light and pretty. This is a look that would be great for day time parties if you switch out the lip color or great for night time as is. I used Sandy for the base again, and Nekked in the crease. For my lids, I used a shimmery pink-champagne color called Paradise. Lastly, for my lip color I used another Colourpop Lippie Stix in Thousand Percent which is a really rich cherry chocolate color.

My Easy, No Foundation Fall Makeup Look

Today, I’m sharing a super quick and easy fall makeup look. I’m actually really happy with how it turned out! I took inspiration from all the pretty fall colors I’m starting to see and decided to base my makeup off of that.

I started off using my Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer Spray, and then adding my Too Faced Born This Way Concealer under my eyes and on my cheeks. I use the color Caramel first under my eyes and on my cheeks to cover my acne scarring and then I go back in with Warm Beige in the inner corner under my eyes to brighten. I set everything with my Laura Mercier translucent powder.

For blush, I used an old limited edition Anastasia Beverly Hills blush kit in the color Vegas and I used my favorite bronzer, the Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil bronzer. I love the way these two look paired together, it’s very pretty and warm. Be sure to use a light hand on the blush because it’s VERY pigmented! For my highlight, I used Chocolate Geode by Becca Cosmetics. I finished off my face by filling in my eyebrows with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer and set it with clear mascara.

For my eyes, I decided to use a NYX eyeshadow palette that I had and my Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette. I started off using Low Blow from the Urban Decay Palette in my crease and then went in with a warm nudey-mauve color all over my lid from the NYX palette. For the outer corner, I took a pretty cranberry color from the NYX palette and lightly added that in also. I finished it off using a pretty shimmery light pinky-cranberry color on my inner corner, also from the NYX palette. I added some black winged eye liner and finished it off with my Too Faced Bette Than Sex Mascara, because I ran out of my favorite Dior mascara. For lips, I used my Buxom Plumpline Lip Liner is the color Undercover.

Greece Vacation Makeup

Now that my trip to Greece is over, I thought I would share how I did my make up for this trip. I knew that I would be busy walking around all day, exploring so I didn’t want to wear a whole lot of makeup during this trip, but I still wanted to look fresh and put together. I kept it very simple this time! Keep reading to see what I did!

To start, after doing my regular skin care routine, I made sure to put sunscreen on every single day. The Mediterranean sun shows no mercy, so it’s super important to put at least SPF 30 on any body parts that will be exposed to the sun.

I also used my Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer Spray to prime my face for the day and keep my skin hydrated. For concealer, I used the Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting Concealer in Warm Beige. This is one shade darker than I normally use because I wanted it to match my skin after I got a little bit tan! (edit: realized I needed like 2 shades darker after I shot this, so I went and exchanged the shade before I left to accommodate for my tan!) I used this under my eyes and on my cheeks, because I have a little bit of acne scarring. I set everything with my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.

For the rest of my face, I kept it very simple and used my Colourpop cream blush. I had a few shades, so depending on how I was feeling that day, I switched it up! My favorite is Quarters because it’s a pretty orangey shade and it compliments my skin tone really well. I also used my Becca Liquid Shimmering Skin Perfector for highlighter. I brought the shades Champagne Pop and Topaz with me and just alternated which one I used depending on the day.

For my brows, depending on how I was feeling/how much time I had, I used either my Anastasia tinted brow gel or I used my Anastasia Brow Definer pencil and set it with clear mascara. Lastly, I used my Diorshow Lash Primer and Volumizing Mascara and my L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black for my eyelashes and finished everything off with my trusty Carmex Chapstick. I brought a few lipglosses with me for days when we went out to a nicer dinner, but I ended up not really using any lip products on this trip.

That’s my very simple, Greek vacation make up look. I hope you enjoyed!

Spring Makeup Look

There’s nothing I love more for spring than simple makeup and a bold lip color. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m really into bright bold colors for spring and that applies to my make up also. So, today I’m sharing this easy winged liner and bold pink look!

For my base, I started off using my Becca Backlight Priming Filter and then my Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and Concealer. After that I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit in Medium and my Laura Mercier Translucent Powder under my eyes and all over my face to set everything. To finish up with my skin, I bronzed my face with my Too Faced Dark Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and used the Becca Mineral Blush in Songbird. Finally, I used my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold on my cheekbones and nose.

For my eyes, I used my absolute favorite eyebrow product to start, my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Ebony. For eyeshadow, I used my Urban Decay Naked Basics eyeshadow palette. I mixed the shades Naked and Commando and placed them all over my lids. For my liner, I used my trusty Maybelline Line Stiletto and for mascara, used my new favorite Diorshow Lash Primer and Volume Mascara.

Now, the fun part was choosing my lip color. I used pinkier products for the rest of my face, so I wanted to do a bright pink lip also. I decided to go with my Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bachelorette to finish the makeup look.

I hope you enjoyed! xx

February 2019 Favorites

For February, since it’s Fashion Month, I have a heck ton of fashion favorites for you. There was a lot going on with the various fashion weeks and so I definitely want to share a few of my most practical favorites from those. I also want to share a few lifestyle changes that I’m really liking this month too!

1. Monochromatic Outfits

Don’t even get me started on this one. This is my absolute FAVORITE thing I saw during NYFW. It was prevalent on the runways of course, but it was much more prevalent in the street style and that’s where I like to pull most of my inspiration from. I was absolutely melting over the bright/colored monochromatic looks. No one has ever made me want to wear a full green outfit until I saw Maria Bernad (@maria_bernad) wear multiple all green outfits. Another favorite has been monochromatic purple/lilac/lavender and monochromatic shades of blue! OBSESSED.

2. Colorblocking

Similar to a monochromatic outfit, I also love colorblocking my outfits. I saw this all over NYFW also and was obsessed. Some of my favorite looks involved red and blue and pink and green! It’s especially cool to mix colors that are opposite on the color wheel. I’m going to keep this up for a few months for sure because it’s so pretty and springy and I just need spring!!

3. Spring Colors

Give me all the pink and green and purple and orange! I am going way overboard these days with wearing bright colors because I’m trying to will spring into existence. The weather has been such a tease (except for the snow earlier this month) and so I’m just hoping spring is on it’s way soon! I love bright green and purple right now but I’m really loving all the bright colors. I especially love to wear a bright color sweater with jeans and matching heels for work or going out at night. It’s such a pretty way to style the bright colors before it’s actually nice outside.

4. No Shopping Month

It’s been very interesting to see how I feel now that it’s about halfway done with my no shopping month. I sort of feel like I’m cheating because I started it at a time where I really didn’t need anything. I also noticed that I’m thinking of all the things I want to buy afterwards which is probably good for motivation but bad for habit building. We’ll have to just wait and see what happens I guess!

5. Going to the gym early

About halfway through the month, I started going to the gym in the morning before work instead of late at night after work. I was feeling really unmotivated and bored with the gym so I thought I might try going in the morning to get a change of scenery. So far, I really like how I feel in the morning after a good work out and it’s nice having an excuse to go to bed early, but it’s a tough transition into this routine. When my alarm goes off at 6:00 AM, I can promise you it takes everything in me not to go back to bed. But it’s definitely worth it to have my evenings free and keep my routine consistent every day.

6. The Shack by Wm. Paul Young

This was actually my book of the month for February because I wanted to try reading a different genre and my boyfriend gifted it to me last month so it was only fitting to read it now. To be honest, this book is a pretty scary in some parts that I actually had trouble sleeping after reading it! The stance it takes on God and religion and how humans relate to it is also really interesting and had me nodding my head in agreement most of the time. I loved the way this book was written also which probably stems from the fact that it’s not a self help book! I also can’t wait to watch the movie now that I’m done with the book.

7. Cocu Social

Earlier this month, my boyfriend and I decided to try a cooking class that we found through Cocu Social. It was a Ravioli making class in Manhattan and we were very impressed with it overall. The instructor was really personable and made the process very easy for us to understand. The recipes were really simple (about 2-5 ingredients for the dough, filling and sauce) and they were just delicious. It was also nice that it took place in the lounge area of a hotel, so we had access to the bar during the class for wine or other drinks. Overall, it was such a great class and we are already thinking about which one we want to try next!

8. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

I started using this foundation earlier this month and so far I really like it. I love the way it makes my skin look. It’s definitely a medium to full coverage and it’s buildable but still light. I’m still trying to figure out what primer to use with it to make sure it lasts as long as possible because my skin gets oily, but it lasts a good amount of time. I also really love the concealer! I’m really surprised because I thought I’d never stray from my Nars Creamy Concealer. I also thought it would be similar to the Tarte Shape Tape which I do not like at all so I was pleasantly surprised.
