I’ve found my new favorite sweater for the season and I decided to style it 4 ways to show you how versatile these kinds of pieces can be! In the winter, a sweater is the equivalent of a plain white t-shirt. It can be paired so many different ways, dressed up or down. I chose to style this olive green sweater from Something Navy x Nordstrom and you can shop it, right here. Keep reading to see how I styled this sweater four different ways!
This one is my favorite because it’s probably the most common way I’d style this. I paired it with my new favorite dad jeans from Topshop and a pair of cream heels. Super simple and really cute! I can wear this for a night out or I can switch out the heels for sneakers and go run errands.
This one is more fun and dressy than the previous outfit. While the weather is not too chilly, I paired it with these black leather pants and some mid calf slouchy black boots. I love the look of leather and suede boots, and I thought it was a perfect way to style the sweater. A balanced mix of dressy and casual.
Because the sweater is just a little over size, I thought it would look nice thrown over a button down top and paired with some leather leggings. It’s a casual outfit when paired with sneakers, but I decided to go with the same mid calf suede boots! Perfect for a dinner date when it starts getting chillier.
This is my work wear way to style this sweater. I love these cream trousers and thought they would look so pretty with the green sweater. Since it’s fall, I was inspired with the leaves and paired the outfit with these orange heels, but you can really take this anywhere you want. You can do nude heels or black, ankle boots, flats or sneakers to make this outfit versatile for any occasion.

Now that we’re really into the swing of things for fall, I thought I’d also get into styling for fall. One thing I’ve been really into has been pink for the fall. Pink is the kind of color that, no matter the shade, is always associated with spring and summer. I’m here to show you that it can be worn all year round! Keep on reading to see how I style my pink pieces for the fall.
I got this pink cardigan from the September 2019 collection of Something Navy because 1) I’m obsessed with pink and 2) felt I needed a new cardigan. This one comes in a dark gray and a pretty rusty orange color (that I’m very interested in). My favorite way to style button up cardigans is with just a cute bralette under and jeans or even trousers if you’re ballsy (not for work unless you’re SUPER ballsy). Today I went with some medium/dark wash mom jeans and a pair of white sandals (similar) since the weather is not REALLY that fall yet.
These pink trousers are very spring if we’re honest, but I figured the best way to make them more fall was to add some leather to the look. I paired this leather jacket over a plain white t-shirt and some black mules. What I love is that adding the leather also grunges up the look a bit more, while the pink pants and the mules keep the look feminine and perfectly balanced. My pants are sold out but here is a similar pair at a similar price point!
I’m obsessed with this sweater! I’ve shown it to you a few times in the brown and now I’m sharing the pink because it’s that good, linked here. Super soft and cozy and perfect for fall. I found these cream pants at Target a few weeks ago and impulse bought them, but they are the kind of pants that are wardrobe staples but I can never find in stores. I knew I had to grab them, especially because they were less than $30! I’m adding a denim jacket and sneakers to dress it down, but you can add heels and a blazer to dress it up for work.
I’ve shown you guys this pink trench tons of times, because it’s just the cutest. For a pink coat, it really goes well with everything and I wore the heck out of it in the spring this past year. I paired it with a pretty simple all white outfit to transition it into the fall. One of my favorite white sweaters and the same cream pants from the previous outfit look super cute with the pop of pink while still keeping you warm. I added nude heels but again you can dress it down with sneakers! The long version of this coat is sold out, but here’s a similar short version from the same company.

Now that Labor Day has officially come and gone, I’m ready to get into the swing of things for fall. I’m so excited for pumpkin spice, apple cider donuts, cool weather and of course, fall fashion! Today, I’m sharing how to transition your summer clothes into the chilly fall weather.
For this outfit, I figured one of the easiest pieces to transition into fall is shorts. Specifically leather shorts! Because they are a heavier material, you can get away with wearing them a little bit longer than other shorts. I like to pair mine with a heavier sweater to keep me cozy without being too warm. These shorts are old from Zara, but the sweater is from Something Navy and is currently on sale for 40% off! It also comes in a ton of colors. I just ordered it in pink! The brown is linked here and the pink is linked here.
For this outfit, I decided to keep it very classic and wear an outfit I like to wear all year round. Jeans and a graphic t-shirt is my go-to outfit. For the fall, I like to add on a blazer for warmth and a little bit more structure. I also added heels, because why not! As the season goes on, you could transition the blazer into a heavier jacket or even layer it with a heavy coat for more warmth.
For my third outfit, I figured I’d style one of my favorite dresses. This navy dress is old from Target but it’s so versatile. You can wear with with a cardigan for work, or on it’s own when it’s nice in the spring and summer. I decided to add on this washed black denim jacket because I love navy and black together. It’s such an easy outfit to throw on for a casual day or even date night!
Similar to outfit number 2, I took jeans and a t-shirt and styled it with a blazer but this plaid blazer is super heavy and really nice to wear as a jacket in the fall. The plaid pattern is still also really popular even though the jacket is from a few years ago! I kept it very casual with white platform sneakers from Superga. Again, just throw on a heavier coat for more warmth as the season goes on.

For this month, I wanted to do a how to style with a little black dress, LBD for short that can easily be transitioned from summer to fall. Now that it’s August, fall is quickly approaching and with all the back to school sales, now is a great time to start preparing. I chose this bodycon midi dress from Forever 21 from a few years ago because it’s a great piece, good quality, and super versatile. Let me know how you would style this dress in the comments!
To start, I just threw this cute oversize jacket from Free People on top and added some yellow sandals. Very easy, and simple. The key to this outfit is that if it gets chilly, you add the jacket and if it’s a little warmer then you can take the jacket off. It’s probably the easiest outfit in the world but still makes you look put together.
For this second one, I had a similar idea to the first in that adding a layer you can remove is a good idea, so that’s what I did! I took this striped button down shirt from American Eagle and just tied it up in the front. Adding some sneakers makes it really easy and casual also. This top happens to be short sleeve, but if it were long sleeve, you could even tie the shirt around your waist and get a little more of a grungey look too!
Similar to outfit #2, I went with a tie detail, but this time I used a graphic t-shirt to get the look. This look is super popular these days so you’ll be right on trend, yet still comfortable. Adding sneakers keeps it casual, but you can always switch them out for sandals or wedges!
Hi Everyone! For today’s blog post, I wanted to try something a little bit different. I remember always watching Youtube videos where the girl has her boyfriend pick out her outfits and I thought that might be fun to try on here. So lo and behold, I had my very enthusiastic and sweet boyfriend pick out some outfits for me. He’s been so supportive of my blog from the very beginning, I thought it was only right to give him a little feature! Keep reading to see what he picked out for me!
Andrew: Personally, I was excited to be made a part of the blog and be able to style Karen in my own way. I wanted to go with 4 different styles and create looks I have never seen her wear before. The 4 styles were Casual, Workwear, A Night Out, and Silly. The last one was for my own amusement.
A: For Casual, I wanted to create a summer look that incorporated one of Karen’s many dresses. I also noticed the Colorblock trend that she was utilizing in various posts. I chose the color yellow after finding a floral dress of hers she had never worn before. I made sure to select yellow shoes along with somewhat flashy earrings and a matching headband. I do not think she would use this much of one color in her usual outfits, but it was fun to just see it for myself.
A: The Workwear look was very clean, but I wanted to pick something that I thought she would actually wear to work. Karen’s favorite color is pink, so when I saw the pink button down, I knew I wanted to start there. Keeping with the lighter summer vibe, I selected white pants, pink shoes, and pink earrings. I thought the pink shoes with the buckle added a bit of flair to this simple outfit for work and maybe I will see Karen in it one day.
A: Karen and I occasionally enjoy a night out and I honestly think I nailed this outfit. I selected the off the shoulder yellow top, white shorts and the white platform sandals. I even asked her to put her hair in a bun using a gold scrunchie, so you know I put some thought into this. The gold earrings were also something extra to add to it as a whole. I’m excited to go out with Karen when she is wearing this, but I hope I can look good in comparison.
K: I actually forgot to put on the earrings when I took these photos, but they were just thick small gold hoops. They are the Chrissy earrings from Baublebar!
A: For the Silly themed look, I chose something that I felt Karen would never be caught wearing. She has a colorful style and placing her in various muted tones is just not her style. I chose beige pants and an over-sized burnt orange button down that she has never worn. I made sure it was buttoned all the way to the top and paired with beige flats. I also opted for her to part her hair completely to one side, which I thought added to the unusual look of it all. I would call this look “Bohemian Chic”.
A: Overall, I had a lot of fun with this task and it definitely created a unique date night activity for the both of us. I’m looking forward to the next blog where Karen creates a few outfits for me. Wish me luck!
K: We had such a fun time working on this together and I’m so happy with what he picked out. He tried to keep my style in mind and I think he did a great job! Let me know how you think he did in the comments below, xx!
I thought I would do another mini “How to Style” post because not sure why, but I’m very into denim skirts this season. They are just as versatile as regular denim jeans or shorts but more feminine and put together I think. So I wanted to share a few ways I’d like to style them.
A pretty button down top is a really easy way to dress up a denim skirt. It’s put together an feminine but the skirt says “I can still have fun” which I like. It’s a safe contrast, you know. Adding the sneakers keeps it casual too so it’s easy for a nice day outside!
Outfit # 2
This one is for those days it’s still a little chillier or even at night when it’s chilly but you need to dress up a little more than usual. A light sweater is a good option because it’ll keep you warm if you need but still nice and casual. It’s also a great idea when it’s time to transition back to fall (too soon?)
Outfit # 3
This one is definitely the most casual and easy to wear. A simple t-shirt and denim is always a good choice! This Budwesier shirt basically says “I’m fun” and the denim skirt and sneakers says “but I’m also casual”. It’s such a perfect pair. This one might be my favorite!
Spring is my favorite time of year because all the prettiest dresses come out in stores! And the weather helps also, but really the pretty clothes are what get me. I’m sharing a few of my favorite dresses for this spring today!
I found this gorgeous floral dress and just about fell over. It’s so pretty and the material is so light and flowy. I highly recommend wearing nude undies under this because it’s pretty sheer, but the pattern helps to hide how sheer it is. Another favorite of mine lately is yellow and green together. I know. It’s so weird but it’s also so good.
Outfit # 2
A t-shirt dress is the ultimate spring and summer staple when it comes to dresses. They can do no wrong. I highly recommend buying t-shirt dresses in as many colors as you can because they can go from day to night with a simple change of shoes and accessories. They are also incredibly comfortably so yay for that.
Frankly, there’s not enough words to explain how I feel about this dress. It’s the most beautiful dress I think I’ve ever owned. The floral pattern is so pretty and feminine and the shape is one of my favorites. It also sold out 2 times before I got my hands on it so that says something. Again, this baby is SHEER. Wear your nude undies or another slip underneath unless you want to share your goods with the world.
Outfit # 4
Look at the beautiful color on this. I’m not okay. GREEN IS MY NEW THING. I also thought it was a fun layering touch to add a t-shirt underneath to make it a little bit more styled and I think it looks really cute. Add on some hoop earrings and a bunch of bracelets and it’s such a cute vacation look.
