It is officially spring now, and if you’re like me, you’re not quite ready to give up ALL of your winter clothes yet. Spring is a little strange because some days are 70 degrees and sunny, while others are 55 and rainy so you get stuck wearing half your spring clothes and half your summer clothes all in the same week. In order to get your creative spring outfit juices flowing, I thought I’d inspire you with a few outfits that I think you can wear RIGHT NOW. These are great for most weather conditions and have layers if you need to take something off or put it back on. This can be a very weather confused season, so I’m hoping to make it a little bit easier on you! I’ll link any items that are available or something similar below.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I LOVE MONOCHROMATIC DRESSING FOR SPRING! There’s something about wearing monochromatic pastels that just oozes spring to me. So this first outfit is no exception. I am so into this beautiful baby yellow color, so I had to triple up on it in this outfit. I paired white jeans from Everlane with a sexy yellow lace cami, a cozy yellow cardigan, and these strappy yellow sandals. This outfit is perfect for work, a date, a casual weekend or just about any other situation.
For the spring and summer, I try to stay away from wearing too much black and white, but sometimes it just works so well you have to give in to it! I saw this pretty black and white polka dot top a few weeks ago and knew I had it get it because the fit is so flattering! I paired it with some casual straight leg jeans, a black denim jacket (similar), but dressed the look up with these strappy white sandals. It’s the perfect mix of casual and put together. This outfit could take you from office to happy hour in no time!
I love a good pair of denim and these straight leg jeans have truly become a staple in my spring wardrobe. They are the PERFECT blue and although they are a bit too cropped for my taste, I love them just the same. They have a great fit and are a nice sturdy denim that you don’t find too often anymore. To keep it really simple, I wore this plain white high neck tank, this muted navy blue cardigan and finished the look off with these SUPER comfy white flats.
I know I said I try to stay away from black, but not everyone does so I’m including one black outfit! Similar to the dark blue straight leg jeans from outfit #3, these are a perfect sturdy pair of washed black denim and I love them so much. I decided to wear another black lacey cami, this time in bodysuit form, and threw on my favorite tan cardigan (similar) for an extra layer. I’m finishing the look off with these comfy tan woven mules and this is another look that is perfect to go from work to play!
Last but not least, this beautiful pink slip dress that I fell in love with a few weeks ago! She’s just a beaut and has the most perfect fit IN THE WORLD. It’s the most flattering piece of clothing I own, I think. I decided to work my layering magic and paired this white cropped sweater (similar) over it for added warmth. I added a brown belt to keep the shape of my waist and wore the same tan mules from the previous outfit. This one is a great way to dress this slip dress down for a more casual look!
