Four Cute and Casual Winter Outfit Ideas

I wanted to share a few really casual outfits on here because usually, well, I don’t. I tend to share more dressed up looks or looks for special occasions or something along those lines and frankly, no one really looks like that day to day. So, I figured I’d do a post of some casual-but-still-put-together outfits. I definitely want to make more of an effort to share outfits that can be worn day to day because it’s just the most realistic. I hope you enjoy these! I’ll link as many items or similar items as I can!

Outfit #1

This first look is the most casual of all the looks and something I would probably wear out to run errands (if I didn’t want to wear sweatpants which is almost never). Instead of sweatpants and a sweatshirt, I opted for a sweatshirt and JEANS instead! I got this cozy sweatshirt while hanging around in Montauk over the summer and it’s a staple for me when I want to be comfy. To look more put together, I figured light wash jeans (similar) and a pair of chunky sneakers was the best option. As always, gold hoops are there to help dress things up too!

Sweater: Montauk town store / Jeans: Topshop / Shoes: Fila / Coat: Something Navy

Outfit #2

There’s nothing quite like an all black outfit. I’m partial to a washed black when it comes to my denim because if it’s too black, I feel like my top has to match exactly otherwise my outfit looks strange. I wear these Abercrombie jeans all the time and just put on a plain black sweater from Urban Outfitters (similar). My Jeffrey Campbell boots are ones I have a love-hate relationship with. I want to get rid of them every year, but I never do because I ALWAYS end up wanting to wear them at one point and it just resets the cycle for me. But they are such a chic western style piece so they’ll be in style for quite a while.

Jacket: Forever 21 / Sweater: Urban Outfitters / Jeans: Abercrombie / Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

Outfit #3

Another favorite look of mine is wearing cardigans as tops, which is super in style these days anyway. Paired with any pair of jeans and it’s a super easy, casual look but you still look like you intended to get dressed that morning. I love this little cardigan from American Eagle (similar), and got it in both colors because it’s the perfect length and the V-neck is not too deep. These are some of my favorite Jamie Jeans from Topshop, again in a washed black/gray color because it goes so well with just about everything! This one is the most dressy because it technically has a heel, but they are boots and a comfortable height so they are not NOT casual. These are similar boots from Steve Madden.

Coat & Shoes: Something Navy / Sweater: American Eagle / Jeans: Topshop

Outfit #4

This is another favorite of mine because you know I love to wear a bright pink. Instead of wearing this cardigan as a top, I wore it as a regular cardigan to add dimension to my outfit by layering it with a lace trim cami. Paired with some medium wash mom jeans, it’s a perfect casual outfit! I dressed it up a little bit more with these funky mules, but you can wear little booties or flats with this too and it will get you an even more casual look.

Cardigan: Something Navy / Top & Jeans: Abercrombie / Shoes: Sam Edelman

The 5 Fall Shoe Trends I’m Loving Right Now

Now that fall is in full swing, I wanted to share some fall shoe trends that I’m absolutely loving right now! As you all know, shoes are my thing and always have been. I have TONS because I wear such simple outfits, that shoes are the best way for me to spice things up (along with fun jackets/coats). All these shoes are linked and from Steve Madden so they are super affordable. So keep on reading to see some of the fun shoes trends that I’m going to be wearing all season long!

First up are these cute combat boots with fur inside! I love these mainly because of the heel, and also the fur inside. It’s such a cute added detail that still keeps you comfy and cozy. I also really like the leather on these too. They are not normal combat boots, so they way cuter in my opinion. This style is called “Comfort” and they are just $99.95! You can find them linked here and below!

Next I found these pretty croc textured knee high boots! I love the texture on these because it’s super subtle, but still very much on trend. They also have a heel which means you can dress them up too! I’ve been loving knee high boots since last fall and frankly, my love for them has only grown stronger. These are called “Triumph” and they are linked here!

I wasn’t big on the western trend last year. It’s really not my style, but when I saw these boots I felt like I could get on board with it. I love this tan color, though they come in black and white also! I think the heel is a perfect height and the little metal detail on the toe/heel is such a good ode to the western era. These cuties are called “Zora” and are linked here.

By now you should know that I’m a sucker for a sleek, fitted ankle boot. I have 5 pairs that I got last year that I wear constantly in the fall and winter. The only thing I don’t love about (some of) those is that they are the sock material, so they’re not as structured as I’d like sometimes. Cue to these pretty ladies. They are suede which I love but still have the slim heel and ankle that I’m looking for, making them perfect to wear with dresses/skirts and jeans! These are called “Clovers” and they are linked here!

Now even though it’s getting chilly, I still love a strappy sandal if I can swing it. I also love the low heel trend that’s been happening even though I will always prefer a super high heel. These are cute, neutral and can easily be dressed up or down! They come in black also and are a perfect shoe if your fall weather is a bit more mild. These are called “Inessa” and they are linked here.
