New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and like every blogger on the planet, I’ve decided to share a few outfit ideas for you. Personally, I love my New Year’s Eve outfits to be covered in sequins, fully glitz and glam so that’s what I’m showing you today because I have to be true to myself. Two of these pieces are old and two are new, because realistically, we keep our old holiday clothing around and I don’t want anyone to think they have to go out and buy something new every year. I want to create a safe space for you to feel like it’s okay to recycle your old outfits and make them feel new again! Keep on reading to see what I put together.
Last year I featured this sequin cami from Zara with a pair of faux leather pants. This year, for a similar but more casual look, I decided to pair it with some plain black jeans and sock boots and this easy moto jacket. This look is a very subtle way of saying, “I’m ready for you 2020!” Mine is plain black, but Zara has them this year in a few other colors like silver and pink, and gold. You could also switch out the sequin cami for a velvet one for a more subtle look!
Last year, I paired this sequin blazer with a pair of shorts and loved it but I decided I don’t want to freeze to death this year so I’m pairing it with my favorite black cami from Express and some leather pants. This way the blazer is the main focus of the outfit as it should be! My blazer is old from Something Navy, but here is a very similar one from Zara and at a much lower price point too!
I found this pretty green fringe dress at Zara recently and thought it was such a fun color. I personally love to play with color, especially for something so over the top like New Year’s Eve so I decided to pair it with these burgundy leather boots from Zara. My exact boots are sold out but Zara has them in stock in a few other colors too, linked here. I threw my moto jacket over top again for warmth and the look is very fun and complete!
Last but not least, this gorgeous sequin mini dress from Zara. This is the apple of my eye and I think I’m going to be wearing this pretty lady for my New Year’s Eve plans! The sleeves run a little tight, but overall I love the fit of this. Plus it’s lined so the sequins are not too itchy either! I truly love a good multi-color sequin dress and I think this one really hit the nail on the head! I decided to keep the rest of the look really simple by just adding plain black sock boots, but I also think it would look amazing with silver strappy sandals!
